Another Josph Kane western. Sterling Hayden plays Tim Chipman, an honest lumberman who returns home to find his father murdered. Chipman gets his own back by setting the family timber company against ruthless competitor Croft Brunner, whom he suspects was responsible for his father's murder. Matters are complicated by the fact that he and Brunner are rivals for the heart of saloon keeper Lynne Tilton.
