The movie, which carries an alternative title of How I Flew From London To Paris In 25 Hours 11 Minutes, is based around a prize offered by a London newspaper baron. A host of contestants arrive in search of girls, fame and fortune. Among them are American Stuart Whitman, perfidious Brit Terry-Thomas, Frenchman Jean-Pierre Cassel and tip-top upright Englishman James Fox. The real stars, however, are the aircraft, a collection of awkward machines which, despite their crooked and crocked appearance, actually fly.
