Clare Pepoe's charming romantic costume comedy, co-written with her husband Bernado Bertolucci, is based on Pierre Marivaux's 18th-century play. Mira Sorvino stars as a princess who disguises herself as a man to win the love of Agis, a man wronged by her family. But first, she must get past his guardians, scientist Hermocrates and his philosopher sister Leontine. Using her female wiles and cunning, she inveigles her way into their hearts to win the one she loves.
