Sci-fi fantasy adventure based on the novel by HG Wells. 19th-century scientist Alexander Hartdegen builds a time machine in an attempt to prevent the murder of his fiancee. But when he is sent 800,000 years into the future, he finds the world a very different - and dangerous - place.
