When Dr Philip Hillyer (Sebastian Cabot) starts on his latest invention, he doesn't realise what an affect it will make on his life.

Forever tinkering with anything and everything, Philip builds a time machine. He uses this vehicle as a means to travel to, and explore, the distant future.

Soon he comes across a futuristic world in the year 802,700. Here he discovers two races situated on it. One race is a mild, gentle and loving race who live in harmony together. However beneath the surface there is a cannibalistic, evil race residing.

While spending time here his machine is stolen by this latter race and now his mission is to risk his life and capture to get it back and return home.

A true classic!
