This biblical epic tells the life story of Moses (Charlton Heston), climaxing with his passage into Eternity.

Under the Egyptian pharaoh, Rameses (Yul Brynner) the Hebrews are enslaved. After Joshua (John Derek) pleads with Moses to free his people, Moses is commanded by God to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.

During the Exodus, Moses climbs Mount Sinai, where he is given the Ten Commandments by God. B

Because the people continue to live in corruption, they are forced to wander in the wilderness for 40 years.

Upon realizing they must abide by these Holy laws, they finally approach the River Jordan and the Land of Promise.
