Family drama, based on Jon Robin Baitz's play, about the eternal problems of the generation gap. A wealthy publisher who survived the Holocaust is willing to publish only certain kinds of material. Eventually, his children side against him to force the publication of a brilliant novel by a gay writer. The conflict that ensues leads to a surprising, moving conclusion.
