Directed by Orson Welles

Running Time: 90 minutes (approx)

Production Year: 1946

Rating: PG Certificate

Filmed in Black and White

Orson Welles stars as unreformed fascist Franz Kindler, hiding as a New England prep school teacher and newly married to the headmaster's lovely daughter (Loretta Young).

Directing, Welles is in fine form for the opening sequences, casting a typically moody tension as agents shadow a twitchy low-level Nazi official around the US.

The rest of the film is a conventional but well-created cat-and-mouse game featuring a thrilling conclusion.
