The classic pairing of Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce star in some murder mystery gold. Holmes is called upon to investigate a series of apparent suicides that have taken place in peculiar circumstances. He soon deduces that they are in fact murders committed by a woman. Disguised as an Indian, he uncovers a world of illicit gambling and insurance scams, and finds himself a target of the evil murderer.
