Humorous, heartwarming story of a divorced father who must compete for his son's affections with the boy's new stepfather. When he accidentally frightens Santa Claus off the roof on Christmas Eve, the fraught dad tries on the famous red suit and finds himself turning into Santa. With his son's help, he agrees to stand in temporarily, and finds his strained relationship with his son gradually beginning to heal.
