A comedy based on the 1987 professional football players' strike. Gene Hackman plays the coach of the team, Jack Warden is the owner, Brett Cullen is the All-Pro quarterback that goes on strike and Keanu Reeves is the "scab" who replaces the star QB.

A football comedy based on the true story of the events surrounding the 1987 National Football League players' strike. The story centers on the Washington Redskins' motley band of replacements during the strike, who went on to win a string of stellar victories.

Pro football coach McGinty (Gene Hackman) must create a team almost overnight during the last pro football strike.

Keanu is the leader of the motley band of bone crushers who helped led the Washington Redskins to an impressive winning streak during that strike-shortened season. He is the quarterback on the team.

Brooke Langton (USA's "The Net") will play Keanu's love interest.
