An adaptation of Somerset Maugham's powerful novel co-written by John Byrum and Bill Murray about a World War I pilot who returns from battle to question all his beliefs and reject the comfortable life his fiancee offers him. He travels to India in search of truth, but on returning to Paris years later, he makes a shocking discovery from his past that drags him back into tragedy.
