Five years after she learns that her true love has been killed by pirates, Princess Buttercup (Robin Wright Penn) becomes engaged to the awful Prince Humperdink (Chris Sarandon). When she is abducted by a strange threesome (Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn and André the Giant), a mysterious masked man in black (Cary Elwes) gives chase.

Scaling the cliffs of insanity, battling rodents of unusual size and facing torture in the pit of despair, true love has never been easy in this fabulous family romp that was nominated for several Oscars.
