When Francis Barnard goes to Spain and finds out that his sister Elizabeth - who was married to the son of the brutal torturer of the Spanish Inquisition - has died from a supposed blood disease, he tries to find out what really happened. After some investigation he finds out that it was extreme fear that was fatal to his sister and that she may have been buried alive! An adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe's tale of terror.
