This punchy thriller, starring George Clooney and Nicole Kidman (pictured), wasn't a huge hit at the box office, but has enough FX and fast action to keep fans of the genre happy.

When missiles being transported on a Russian train are supposedly destroyed, brash army specialist Thomas Devoe (Clooney) is teamed with ambitious female executive Julila Kelly (Kidman) to investigate. They discover that the warheads have been stolen by international terrorists, and learn a grudging respect for each other as the hunt for the weapons takes them across Europe, culminating in a tense Manhattan showdown.

Released in 1997 and directed by Mimi Leder, it's worth a look.
