Slapstick police comedy in which the inept Lt Frank Drebin, the LAPD's answer to Inspector Clouseau, blunders his way through a series of bizarre investigations. One case pits the detective against a suave socialite shipping magnate who is behind a heroin smuggling operation; another requires him to thwart a plot to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II at a baseball game.
