Drama set in the 1960s. A pair of twins are separated at birth when their father learns that one of them has Down's syndrome. Unable to cope with a learning-disabled child, the anguished father gives his daughter up to a sympathetic nurse and tells his wife that the baby is dead. As the years pass, the man's guilt puts a strain on his marriage and he turns to photography for solace. Based on the bestselling novel by Kim Edwards.
