Jet Li stars in this Hong Kong martial arts extravaganza about a family who are members of a secret society dedicated to the overthrow of a corrupt Manchu emperor. The emperor dispatches a governor to find out the names of the society's members. Meanwhile, the son of the family falls in love with a rich merchant's daughter, whose hand has been promised to the winner of a kung fu contest.
