Chilling fantasy about a scientist engaged in genetic experiments on a lonely Pacific island where a shipwreck survivor is cast ashore. The newcomer discovers the doctor's strange animal-human hybrids, one of them a beautiful catlike woman with whom he falls in love, but it seems the doctor has plans for the guileless castaway and his companion. Remake of the 1933 horror classic 'Island of Lost Souls', based on a novel by H G Wells.
