Chilling, intelligent sci-fi horror thriller, starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig (pictured).

A space shuttle returning to Earth crash lands, unwittingly spreading an alien bacteria that infects people as they sleep, turning them into emotionless automatons. Psychiatrist Carol Bennell (Kidman) and her boyfriend Ben Driscoll (Craig) race to find Carol's young son, who is somehow immune to the infection, all the while trying not to fall asleep and lose their souls. A chilling, intelligent sci-fi horror thriller.

This is the fourth film adaptation of Jack Finney's seminal sci-fi novel The Body Snatchers, although the plot was changed considerably during production. Director Oliver Hirschbiegel was replaced by the studio, who brought in both the Wachowski Brothers and V For Vendetta director James McTeigue for months of reshoots.
