Timothy Bottoms stars as Jack, a middle-aged man who cares for his elderly house-bound mother. When she starts to display signs of dementia, Jack makes the agonising decision to have her admitted to a nursing home, but the move unearths old memories and forces Jack to face up to some painful truths about his past.
