F. Scott Fitzgerald's celebrated story set in the Roaring Twenties focuses on a handsome playboy and his attempts to win back the girl who did not wait when he went off to the Great War. Now she is the flighty wife of a rich socialite, their loveless marriage cemented by money, and lives across the bay from the mansion where Gatsby sets up home and throws lavish parties in the hope of drawing his girl back.
