At 8.42 am on 11 September 2001, United Flight 93 took off from Newark en route to San Francisco. It never arrived. Of the four planes hijacked by terrorists that day, Flight 93 was the only one to be diverted from its intended target. Using actual voice recordings, the personal accounts of family and friends, and extensive background research, this is the inspiring story of how the 40 passengers, all strangers, fought back and averted an even greater tragedy.
