Patrick Harkins' debut feature, scripted by John Hodge, features Adrian Lester as writer Jonathan Stitch, commissioned to write the biography of ageing game show host J. J. Curtis. As Curtis's story unfolds, the story goes back to the 70s, when Curtis and tyro quiz master Dave Turner are locked into a professional rivalry, with the winner getting to host a new top-dollar show. But as the pressure mounts, the rivalry becomes positively murderous.
