Comedy drama about a pair of piano-playing brothers who take on a singer when they realise that two pianos are no longer enough to make a success of the cocktail-lounge circuit. This film explores the ups and downs of small-time show business life and the relationship of two very different brothers in brilliant detail. Michelle Pfeiffer won an Oscar for her role as Susie Diamond, their sultry vocalist.
