Hollywood hard men Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson and Telly Savalas star in a war epic

about a motley crew of death-row criminals who get the chance to redeem themselves in action in World War II.

The time is 1944 and the Allied Armies stand ready for a major invasion of Germany from bases in England.

As a prelude to D-Day, US Army Intelligence orders a top secret mission where convicted criminals will be offered a pardon in return for parachuting into the Reich on a suicide mission.

Forged into a tough fighting unit, they are sent on a suicide mission to Nazi-occupied France.

Their mission: to parachute behind enemy lines, on the verge of D-Day, and cause havoc at a rest house for German generals.
