This fantasy thriller is based on the comic book series by James O'Barr.

Upcoming rock musician, Eric Draven (Brandon Lee) leads a very happy life with his fiancée Shelly (Sofia Shinas). However when they send a letter of dispute to their landlord, who just happens to be associated with a nasty street gang known as, their lives are devastated.

The result of this dispute ends in the murder of Eric and the torture and murder of Shelly on a night known as "Devils Night", a night when henchmen of crime-lord Top Dollar (Michael Wincott) traditionally partake in acts of arson and extreme violence.

A year later the restless soul of Eric returns from the grave guided by a spectral crow and aided by special new superhuman powers to wreak revenge on his murderers and bring an end to the wanton crime of this notorious gang.

Made in memory of Brandon Lee, the son of Bruce Lee, who died on set before the film was completed due to a live bullet replacing a previously placed blank.
