Joseph Kane's comedy stars Eugene Pallette as Mr Pidgeon, the patriarch of a middle-class family who fall on hard times when his wife inadvertently loses their money. A dying uncle could save them with a legacy of $5m - but he leaves the inheritance to Florie, an actress who he saw in a play 30 years ago.
