Madcap comedy about a chaotic car race from Connecticut to California. A speed-loving racer disguises himself as an ambulance driver and teams up with his dimwitted sidekick in a bid to win the illegal cross-country rally. But they must see off fierce competition from a host of eccentric personalities, including pair of Ferrari-driving priests and a James Bond-type character kitted out with secret weapons. Jackie Chan appears in one of his first US film roles.
