A decade after the end of World War II, films about the conflict still had appeal and Lewis R. Foster's gripping drama about three GIs in Italy was no exception. Wendell Corey plays the idealist who doesn't believe in killing, while Don Taylor sees everything in black and white. Mickey Rooney is the most entertaining of the three, running a floating crap game that he plans to use to bankroll his restaurant in New York.
