A Swedish diplomat is sent to a South American country torn with revolt to mediate between the opposing political and military factions. He soon discovers just how dangerous his assignment really is.

Aidan Quinn gets the dual roles of terrorist Carlos The Jackal and his lookalike, a Navy officer who is trained to impersonate him, in this political thriller. Sutherland and Kingsley are both slightly sinister and serious as the terrorism experts determined to bring The Jackal down.
