Tim Whelan's western stars Claudette Colbert as Prudence Webb, who arrives in the Texan town of Fort Ralston to take over her late father's newspaper. Deciding to expose the wrongdoers in the town, she starts with gambler Chris Mooney, whom she blames for her father's suicide. But what she doesn't realise is that he's not the enemy. Two crooked cattle barons pose the real threat - and will stop at nothing to silence her.
