James Cameron's top-notch Oscar-winning sci-fi action-thriller sequel is a winner all the way. Released in 1991 and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger (pictured), it set new standards in computer-generated special effects, had a tremendous plot, super stunts and a thumping soundtrack.

A life-and-death battle to avert a nuclear holocaust unfolds. A supercomputer that sought to destroy humankind sends a virtually indestructible, shape-shifting T-1000 cyborg (Robert Patrick) back to our time to kill the human resistance leader - John Connor (Edward Furlong) - in his youth. Aided by another cyborg - the Terminator (Schwarzenegger) - John and his mother Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) try to alter the events that led to the computer's creation and the nuclear war it triggered.

Highly recommended.
