Production Year: 1977

Rating: 18 Certificate

Filmed in Colour

Dario Argento's cult, classic fantasy horror movie re-invents the genre. Jessica Harper plays dancer Susy Bannion, the heroine beset by evil and murder at a ballet school that is the front for a coven of witches. There's also strong support from Stefania Casini and Flavio Bucci.

Released in 1977 and with a tremendous and unforgettable opening sequence, the plot may founder occasionally, but Argento's flair never does. Highly recommended.
