Superman (Christopher Reeve) finds himself at the mercy of Lex Luthor's (Gene Hackman) latest fiendish plan when he is confronted by Nuclear Man - a radiation-charged villain created by Luthor. After Superman becomes embroiled in global politics, specifically nuclear disarmament, Luther and his arms-dealing cronies are furious. Thus Nuclear Man is created. But can he take down Superman?
