Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) and Dale Doback (John C. Reilly) still live with their respective parents, despite being grown men, and when the inevitable happens and Nancy and Robert move in together, the two middle-aged 'boys' are forced to share a room. Constantly at each other's throats, the boys' behaviour soon leads the newlyweds to push them out the nest and, as they search ineptly for jobs and a place to stay, they soon discover they have far more in common than they first thought. Fans of Ferrell's trademark madcap silliness certainly won't be disappointed by this daft-as-a-brush comedy which sees him team up with Reilly for the second time since Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby. Probably best known for his dramatic work in films such as Magnolia and The Hours, Reilly also moonlights as a particularly brilliant comic actor, here creating another lovable buffoon in manchild Dale Doback. Helmed by Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy director Adam McKay - who also shot Talladega Nights - Step Brothers may not be quite as memorable as Ron Burgundy's extremely quotable outing, but it has its share of inspired moments. Look out for the scene when the boys film a video for their first rap single 'Boats and Hos', the lyrics to which are quite unprintable here. When is Step Brothers next on TV?
