Stargate brilliantly blends Egyptian myth and legend with a sci-fi tale about an alien race that once came to this planet and took its inhabitants for slaves, not by means of spaceships, but the use of teleportation with the "Stargate".

Long ago, an uprising buried the Stargate and it was hidden and forgotten until an archaelogist uncovered it. Over the years, many had tried to decipher the purpose of this ancient artifact until Dr. Daniel Jackson (James Spader), scientist and ostricised Egyptologist, discovers what it is and how it can be activated.

Now in the hands of the military, Daniel and Col. Jonathan "Jack" O'Neil (Kurt Russell, pictured) and his team travel across the galaxy and naively stumble upon the kingdom of the ancient god Ra who has enslaved the human people he brought there for generations... until now.
