Woody Allen stars as Ray, leader of an incredibly inept gang who are planning to break into a bank from the empty shop next door. Ray rents the shop and turns it into a cookie store, fronted by his wife Frenchy. But while the heist is beset by problems, the cookies are a hit and the pair are soon running a multi-million-dollar company. But while Ray can't cope with his new found wealth, Frenchy falls into the lifestyle and for smooth David, who offers to groom her for society while planning to get his hands on the money.
