Romantic drama loosely based on Hans Andersen's 'The Little Mermaid'. A teenager with dreams of becoming an Olympic swimmer enjoys her first experience of love. However, her boyfriend is from the wrong side of town, and her father, aided by his scheming girlfriend, does everything in his power to keep the young lovers apart.
