The Princess has been taken to the United States, and in Nevada the heroes find themselves hot on the trail of the kidnappers.

However while here, Chon somehow becomes separated from the group and finds himself an unlikely partner, a small time robber with delusions of grandeur called Roy O'Bannon (Owen Wilson).

Together, the two forge onto one misadventure after another.
