Thought-provoking drama set in Arizona in 1881. A sergeant in the all-black 9th Cavalry is falsely accused of the murder of his white commander and the rape and murder of the man's daughter. Despite being defended by a white friend and fellow soldier, the sergeant's trial quickly degenerates into an excuse for the local community to vent its prejudice and intolerance.
