Intelligent drama set in the 1950s, starring Brendan Fraser as David Greene, a high school kid who is head-hunted by a New England prep school which wants him to be its football team's new star quarterback. David arrives at the new school with high hopes, but also with one big secret - he is Jewish. At first he manages to shield his true identity from his new school friends, but eventually the truth comes out and David must face the pent-up prejudices of an anti-Semitic group of people. Even his room-mate and close friend Reece (Chris O'Donnell) is unsure of how to react when he realizes that he has been deceived by David. However, it's up to David himself to realize that he must face up to his own identity before anyone else can be expected to do the same.
