Oscar-winning biblical epic about the mighty Israelite who is conquered by a beautiful Philistine temptress when she cuts his hair, the source of his great strength. It is foretold by an angel that Samson will live a life dedicated to the will of God, but he is tempted by wine and other forbidden pleasures. His greatest weakness is women, and he is finally betrayed by the woman he loves - but has God forsaken him?
