Rosemary (Mia Farrow) and her new husband Guy Woodhouse (John Cassavetes) move into a new apartment in New York. The pair quickly hit it off with their neighbours, elderly couple Minnie (Ruth Gordon) and Roman (Sidney Blackmer) Castevet. Rosemary also befriends a young woman she meets in the basement laundry room, who tells her tales of witches and black magic in the building.

Things seem to be going well for Rosemary and Guy until the girl from the laundry appears to commit suicide by plummeting to her death. Rosemary starts to hear strange noises and experiencing bizarre dreams, such as being raped by a monster. Guy has also become increasingly remote and distant. When Rosemary discovers she has fallen pregnant, she begins to suspect that her neighbours have special plans for her child which she doesn't agree with.

A truly creepy and demonic horror film.
