Taut thriller in which penniless former marine Michael arrives in the remote town of Red Rock and is mistaken for a hit man by the local bartender, who offers him money to kill his wife. Eager for cash, Michael takes the job but when he reaches their farm, the woman offers to double his fee if he will kill her husband. He is tempted to just abscond with the cash - but a series of increasingly bizarre events ruin his plans.
