Considered somewhat average on its release in 1967, this stylish John Boorman cult thriller has since become a neo-noir classic. Lee Marvin plays Walker, an implacable, remorseless, hard-nosed gangster, double-crossed by his friend Reese (John Vernon), who shoots him a number of times and makes off with his wife. Walker returns to wreak revenge on those who double-crossed him and left him for dead.

Highly recommended.
