Interior designer Jan (Doris Day) loathes playboy composer Brad (Rock Hudson) because he is always hogging their shared 'party' line in his attempts to seduce women. He in turn thinks she is a strident harridan who sabotages his pick-up lines.

But then they meet without knowing each other's identity - and set off sparks of a different kind.

This Oscar winning romantic comedy helped re-vitalise Day's career in non-musical roles and was a huge success, Hudson portray's his character extremely well with a real comic flair even with 'ok' direction by Michael Gordon.

This film is well worth watching and is a classic.
