B-movie horror with an A-list cast, this spookfest is based on the Dean Koontz novel about strange goings-on in a town whose population has disappeared. Affleck and Schreiber have fun as the sheriff and deputy, but O'Toole steals the show as the expert on all things that go bump in the night.
