Dramatization of the true story of the 1990 police investigation which finally tracked down Aileen Wuornos, the USA's first female serial killer, a prostitute who murdered her clients. The film tries to explain what motivated her to kill so many men and also highlights the way in which her case was seized upon by media hungry for the latest scandal.
