Directed by Sergio Leone, Once Upon a Time In The West has often been labelled as the director's greatest achievement, if not the greatest western of all time.

The story follows Jill McBain (Claudia Cardinale), a upper-class woman who has moved to the American Midwest to marry the man of her dreams. However when she arrives she discovers that her husband-to-be and his three children have been shot dead.

Gunman Frank (Henry Fonda) stalks Jill, intent on driving her off the land that is coveted by a railroad company, but help is at hand. Mysterious stranger "Harmonica" (Charles Bronson, pictured) arrives to defend Jill and her farmstead from the ruthless gunman against all odds.

Released in 1968, and with superb acting from Bronson, Fonda and Jason Robards Sr., not to mention a brilliant score from composer Ennio Morricone, this is one western you cannot afford to miss.
